Botanical Impressions is a two-phase exploration of process, perception, and the balance between spontaneity and control. It begins with the intuitive act of creating monotypes using botanicals, paint, and a printing plate—embracing chance, touch, and the physicality of materials.

The second phase shifts to precision. Photography becomes a tool of refinement and transformation, drawing out subtle textures and forms.

The work merges the immediacy of handwork with the focus of the lens. In the digital darkroom, earth and eye, gesture and clarity converge—revealing something more than either medium alone.

  • Technique: Handmade monotype prints merged with high-resolution photography.

  • Prints: Archival pigment Hahnemühle Musuem Etching.

  • Size: Custom made.
